Atugonza Phiona

Atugonza phiona is a rural transformation specialist dedicated to transforming communities. Before joining P4T, Phiona served as the Tourism lead for URDT institute in 20 districts and 4 refugee settlements in the greater albertine, Tooro kingdom and 5 districts in Buganda kingdom where close mentorship and supervision was done to ensure youth transition to degnified and fulfiling work opportunities in 2023 Phiona also worked with URDT institute as an Epicenter Manager for Kyankwanzi district to help youth attain practical skills for self reliance where over 1080 Youth benefited and 750 had transitioned to work in 2021 to 2023. Phiona also worked as a farm Manager for the same organization Training URDT girls school students from P.5 to S.6 in practicals and management of URDT farm as a whole in 2016.

Phiona served as a manager at Gulu Lima farm giving technical assistance in poultry farming in 2020. Phiona holds a bachelor's degree in Rural Development attained from African Rural University and a certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development at Baraka Agricultural College Kenya. As a specialist in Agriculture, Phiona is supporting P4T to traine learners in horticulture both refugees and host to enable them improve livelihoods and nutrition in their homes. Phionas emphasis is livelihood enhancement for sustainability and seeing more youth in the field of work. Transforming lives is her focus
