Opio Boniface Ocen hold Master degree in Science in Procurement & Supply Chain Management from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda and also Bachelor degree in Science in Information Technology from Uganda Christian University. He is a skilled procurement and logistics specialist with over 12 years of experience in managing complex supply chain operations in humanitarian and development contexts. Known for his strategic thinking, operational excellence, and ethical leadership, Boniface plays a vital role in supporting community-driven programs and emergency response logistics in Uganda and beyond.

In 2024, Boniface started his new role as Procurement and Logistics Officer at Planning for Tomorrow (P4T), Boniface oversees procurement planning, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and logistics operations. His ability to integrate risk assessment, cost control, and logistical coordination enables P4T to serve vulnerable communities more effectively. Boniface also contributes to capacity building and systems improvement within P4T, drawing on his field experience to design more resilient and transparent procurement procedures that comply with humanitarian standards.

Before Boniface joined P4T, He has worked with Ciella Industries, Goma, DRC as logistics Operations Manager in 2023 who managed regional supply chain operations and vendor relations. He has also worked with Uganda Red Cross Society in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement as field Admin & Logistics Manager from 2019 to 2020 who coordinated logistics and procurement for humanitarian relief efforts, including distribution of essential supplies, fleet management, and compliance with donor regulations in emergency settings.

Boniface’s extensive experience and specialized skills in procurement and logistics are essential to the growth and operational effectiveness of Planning for Tomorrow (P4T). His strong background in humanitarian logistics, contract negotiation, and supply chain coordination enables the organization to deliver timely and cost-effective services to vulnerable communities. In addition to holding a Diploma in Procurement and Supply, and he also has certificate from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and is on track to earn full MCIPS membership in November 2025.  His expertise continues to strengthen P4T’s internal systems, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainable development across all its programs.
