HELP US BUILD A SCHOOL

We believe that no child should be forced to study outside, or in a dangerous environment. With access to a good education, children can escape poverty.

Across Uganda, many children have to choose between going to school or drop-out. Without classrooms, they are forced to study under trees, in all weather. They are exposed to the elements, distracted, and unable to learn. For those school do have some shelter, it is often unstable, with holes in the ceiling that let the rain in, leaving children cold and wet, and destroying their work.

The schools are overcrowded, which leads to many students dropping out. The student / teacher rate is as high as 1: 200 compared to the authorities' standard of 1:53. This leads to uncertain learning and a troubled environment. Not to forget that without desks and books, there are many students who will struggle to learn. With too little space, students often have to sit too close together or on the floor. Lack of books also makes it difficult for students to do homework and study the subjects better.

We are seeking support to construct permanent classrooms for P4T Nursery and Primary School. USD 20,000 can build one fully furnished 3- classrooms block plus staffroom Office.

With your donation, We're building safe and secure classrooms, so that children can focus on their learning, and their futures.
